Tomorrow marks the halfway point fo this season, and with only one person dropping off thus far (though a few on-the-cusp at the moment) I consider this the most successful season of 60toSexy thus far.
There are back-and-forth battles for third and fifth places, and a lot of passion and hard work going into your fitness. There have also been setbacks for some of us - which there inevitably will be - but the true test of a setback isn’t whether it happens, but how you recover from it to continue pushing forward. Well done everyone, and I do stress everyone.
Tomorrow begins the deep-dig for the second half of the season. You’ve worked hard for 30 days, now it’s time to push yourself a little bit harder (but again, not too hard.) You’ve hopefully seen the results of your first 30 days and want to see how much you can get from this before we cross the finish line together.
For my part, in an hour I’ll be signing up for Krav Maga. My goal is to continue to lift weights for three days a week, and to do KM for three. And on Sunday I’ll rest. I plan to let Krav Maga be my cardio and core workout, and focus my weightlifting on the same compound muscle group lifts that I’ve been working on for the past few months. I’ve been making progress with my lifts, and have a goal by the end of the competition to bring my bench up to 225 and my deadlift to 405. Arbitrary numbers for sure, but even if I don’t meet those arbitrary goals, I’ve made a lot of progress this season already.
So here’s to another thirty days of competition, community, support, and spurring each other forward. This finish line’s just over that horizon.
